Susan Stoker - Protecting Dakota - (Seals of Protection Series - Book 10 & Sleeper Seals Book 1) The Sleeper SEALs, are former U.S. Navy SEALs recruited by a new CIA counter-terror division to handle solo dark ops missions to combat terrorism on U.S. soil and they must be Ghosts on their ops. Retired Navy Commander Greg Lambert hands picks each retired Seal for the mission. The first book in the Sleeper Seals, multi-authors, Series brings everything the series about from words to action. Slade “Cutter” Cutsinger is forty-seven (47) YO and who was medically retired. Slade was first up for the Sleeper Seal’s first OPS. The good news to those of us who have read Ms. Stoker’s Seals of Protection will be happy to know that Slade is friends with our beloved Seal Team, Wolf and the whole team. Thank you, Ms. Stoker, we get to visit with all of them for a while. After his retirement, Slade worked at the Naval Base under Patrick Hurt who is also Wolf’s commander. In fact, when ‘our’ Seals are on an op, Slade checks on their women while they are in theater. Cutter is assigned to find Dakota James, protect her and get her back to the base. The leader of Ansar al-Shari’a, Aziz Fourati, a rich American who is now radicalized has decided that he wants Dakota James as his ‘first’ wife and to bare his first heir. First, Cutter must find her because Dakota is on the run from Aziz. After Cutter brings Dakota back to San Diego, he decides to keep her at “Wolf and Caroline’s house for protection. However, Aziz is closer than anyone knows and when he kidnaps Dakota and Caroline (Wolf’s wife), the whole team is determined to find them before it is too late. So this is the last story in the Protection series and first with the Sleeper Seals. We are introduced to Dakota who is on the run from a home grown terrorist who has marked her for his . Slade , who is retired Seal and works on the Navy base with Wolf and his team. is recruited for a black ops mission to find this terrorist and Dakota. From the first page, the action begins and doesn't let up until The End as Slade, New Seal team , and the crew from the Protection series help to find and bring Dakota to safety. Couldn't put this one down and looking forward to more in the Sleeper Seals series and authors.

It was a good read. I know that the main female lead of this book is Dakota, but somehow I'd like it better if there's a little part which would describe more details about when Wolf found Caroline, or maybe the current interaction between Wolf, Caroline, Dakota and Slade after they found Dakota instead of a little flashback where Dakota feel sorry for them when talking with Slade that months later. One for sure, Susan Stoker will be one of my fav author from now on! :D
