Ratings and reviews

LOVE Susan Stoker's work, but I didn't love this story. However, the writing gets 5 stars! Cruz is undercover in a BAD motorcycle club. And for me, that part of the story overshadowed the good parts between him & Mickie, unfortunately. There is a LOT of detail in the bad parts of the club, so I would just put that as a warning to fans of the other books in the SEAL series. The author DOES give warnings, and the reasons she's given for writing this story so dark are valid, but even with the warnings, I wasn't expecting quite so much time to be dedicated to the evilness of the club. Now, as I said, the writing, the cadence, is brilliant & the times when Mickie & Cruz are together, or when the focus is not on the club goings-on, are very enjoyable. I just would have enjoyed it more if the balance had tipped in the other direction! However, I am DEFINITELY looking forward to more from this series, and it (& the SEALS) is a top recommendation for me. : )

Lots of crude stuff but the best part is how it was weaved together. All of these characters come to life with clear personalities, as though you can step into their shoes and be in the storyline.

Great read, hectic story line. Going under cover is so dangerous yet without people like that so much more evil would be loose in the world
