Sexy romance, detective work and suspence all rolled up in one. Loved Dex's character. Mackenzie would be annoying to me in real life since she had such a non-stop mouth. Sweet person but annoying, just reading her let alone if I had to listen to her. lol Good read though.

I actually lost interest in the story very early in the book. There was no umph in the writing. Nothing tingly or outstanding. Quite boring, actually. i just could'n finish it as there were stacks to read and no time to waste on this one. Sorry. I'm sure there's lots of people out there bored enough to find the book of any interest.

From the first story by this author that I read, each book wiggles its way more & more into my heart. Susan Stoker writes characters you want to get to know, and in the case of Daxton & Mack, I really felt like we got to know them in-depth. From their first meeting, which was crazy brief, to their realization of where they knew each other, you can feel the sparks. I love Mack's crazy rambling stories - she reminds me of me! (I may tend to ramble...*grin*) I love that Dax takes her stories in stride and actually asks questions he specifically knows will get her going on a ramble! That was one of my favorite character traits for Dax. There is a crazy twist to this story that is BRILLIANTLY executed, and kept me on the edge of my seat, flipping kindle pages and not able to put the story down. I am SOOO looking forward to more from this author!
