About this ebook

#1 New York Times Best Seller!

Following his ground-breaking, critically acclaimed run on Detective Comics, writer Scott Snyder (American Vampire) alongside artist Greg Capullo (Spawn) begins a new era of The Dark Knight with the relaunch of Batman, as a part of DC Comics—The New 52!

After a series of brutal murders rocks Gotham City, Batman begins to realize that perhaps these crimes go far deeper than appearances suggest. As the Caped Crusader begins to unravel this deadly mystery, he discovers a conspiracy going back to his youth and beyond to the origins of the city he's sworn to protect. Could the Court of Owls, once thought to be nothing more than an urban legend, be behind the crime and corruption? Or is Bruce Wayne losing his grip on sanity and falling prey to the pressures of his war on crime?

i found a whole section that was sideways, followed by a section upside-down. ive recently been purchasing some of the new trades on google play and it's disturbing to find obvious carelessness like this. please let me know when you fix this and i'll gladly give it a 5-star that the book deserves.

Alright, that's not true. The art work is decent in this. Beyond standard gripes with new 52, the biggest problem with the storyline is it makes Batman a joke. And not a funny one, but hey at least it's better than Marvel Now. I feel so bummed about modern comics.

The story is great. The format is horrendous. I got a bit over halfway through, and all the pages started being displayed sideways. Though it must be intentional. Super annoying, but intentional. But then they all went upside down. Really dropping the ball on your digital content, Google.
