Simply doesn't work with Chromecast. It'll connect at the beginning of the show, but then freezes indefinitely when it automatically tries to jump to live (or wherever you were in your program). Sometimes, it'll die with a "glitch" error, but most of the time your Chromecast will require a reboot to function again. This only happens with Directv's app. No issues with any other apps. EDIT: Your response is irrelevant. My version is 1.56.281627.

Update 4/24. App restarts to main page every time you leave it, even to check a text. Forgets show you were watching or where you left off. Deletes episodes to record new stuff even with unlimited storage. No FF or Rew when streaming w/o rewatching 6 mins of commercials every time you rewind/FF. Search function doesn't find shows/movies you're looking for, even when they are currently streaming. Can't search by actor name. Doesn't minimize to box in corner of your screen like most streaming apps

App performs well below expectations. I can watch the same live content on the channel individual site with no issues, but freezes consistently on direct tv app. It says when app is jammed up the video may not play. Well the app needs to make the performance better so it doesn't jam up all the time. To compete with You tube TV, it needs to make better performance
