The writing was so bad I couldn't even finish it. I kept thinking, how old is this author... Twelve? I really did try because I spent money on it. I got to page 176 so nobody can say I didn't give it a fair chance. I just couldn't torture myself anymore. It seemed every third paragraph or so I would shake my head in response to how bad this book was... Worst book I've ever read, and I must say that I have never not finished a book before until now. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can assure you that I will stay far away from Morgan Rice novels from now on.

Do not buy this. You think it will be a mixture between Game of Thrones and Eragon, but it won't. This book seems like it was written by a nine year old girl. EVERYTHING is repeated, the story is about as deep as the effort that was put into this. NONE! Its like a book for children, but with content for young adults. That's fine, but you can't please both. Go read something else. Morgan Rice has got to do better than that if she wants anyone with half a brain to read this. The only t

I believe the title says it all. It's fairly typical for the genre, unknown commoner with a destiny beyond compare, beautiful princess that sees something in this lowly boy, secret magic, dragons and a selfish conniving usurper with no redeeming qualities. It's all in the story, but unfortunately there is no redeeming subtlety to bring any depth to the Story. There's not a need make this an indepth review because just like the story, what you see is what you get.
