Book 5 in The Bradens & Montgomery’s: Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls Series and this is Knox Bentley and Aubrey Stewart’s story and boy do they have a tale to tell. Aubrey needs to find the perfect Inn for the upcoming movie the LWW (Lady’s Who Write) are planing to shot. Knox knows just the place problem is it’s his family home and he doesn’t always see eye to eye with them but he is determined to get the woman he has been hooking up with for the past 2 years just what she needs but what will Aubrey think when she finds out who really owns the Inn, will the secrets Knox has kept tear this couple apart............. This book has all the feels, characters with sizzling chemistry and who also share plenty of witty banter, a swoon worthy hero with a strong sassy heroine add to this entertaining read. I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait for the next book in the series because whenever I pick up one if this authors books I feel like I’m coming home and catching up with friends.

Audible: Narrators - Andi Arndt & Jason Clarke Excellent job of narration! I especially loved Mr. Clarke’s performance. He pulled me into the story in a deep and rich way that I truly enjoyed. Knox and Aubrey have been hooking up for the last two years when Knox decides it time to take things to the next level. However, Aubrey is not quite at the same place and she fears for her independence in allowing him into her life. But with a little finangling, Knox has her right where he wants her. I liked both of these characters. Aubrey, while fierce in her determination to be self sustained, she was far from hard and cold. Quite the opposite. As soon as Knox starts to push she felt herself crumbling and I appreciated that she didn’t fight it out of pure stubborness. She was very likable and I connected with her pretty quickly. Knox was amazing! Once he figured out what he wanted to make his life complete, he didn’t stop until he got it. He was all in and he was determined to win Aubrey over, no matter what, although he never over stepped the line that identified her as an individual. They way he claimed her in front of their families made me love him all the more. Together, this couple were so dang cute and fun. Their banter was quick and witty and oh my gawd, so very sexy. They were made for each other and it shows throughout the book. This has just a tad of drama that was overcome without much effort making this story all the better for the lower angst. With some awesome secondary characters that showcased Aubrey’s and Knox’s own personalities, I fell in even deeper love with this book. This is filled with humor, emotion and all together pure perfection.

Confession time: MAKING YOU MINE is my first-ever read by author Melissa Foster. That being said, Knox's and Aubrey's story is a fun, sexy, upbeat read that focuses, as I suspect Melissa's other books do, on family, friends, and being true to one's heart, and was just a great addition to my TBR. What I enjoyed most about this book is the way that Knox and Aubrey smooth out the rough edges in each other's lives. It's not so much about change as it is helping each other to see how having each other makes all the other parts come together so nicely. Knox is able to help Aubrey realize that all work and no play leaves her a less-than-happy lady, and Aubrey's close relationship with her family helps Knox to make changes in how he sees and approaches his own. Melissa has written a lot of books, and plenty of characters from other stories are present in MAKING YOU MINE. While it's nice getting to know stories and folks from the other books, I didn't feel like I was missing out by picking up with Knox and Aubrey. I do feel, though, like I want to go back and catch up, because this book was so enjoyable to read. The wrap-up to MAKING YOU MINE is the perfect segué to upcoming books, and definitely make me want to come back for a visit. An easy 4 stars, this book is the perfect combination of sweet, sassy, sexy, and HEA, and I look forward to getting to know many more of the characters in Melissa's worlds. ❤️
