The back and forth between looking for her missing daughter - who's been missing 5 years - and her current job as a police detective is confusing plus it gives the impression that she has no interest and is negligent in the current duty she has as a "missing persons" detective. And I cheated and read the descriptions for the sequels hoping for the happy ending that she finds her daughter.... Not! So I didn't even finish the last 50 pages of this book because the mystery of her daughter's disappearance will never be solved which means there is no climax and no ending to this mystery!

This book was a pallet cleanser after a really, really bad book. I loved every bit of it. It is easy for me to skip paragraphs or pages, but not this time. I read every word, savoring it, loving it. I'm definitely going to read as many Keri Locke mysteries as I can lay my hands on. Thanks, Blake, for enriching my life. I needed that.

Preferred this series (A trace of..) of books from this writer. Good plots and story line. Didn't feel so much like CSI or Law & order like the other writers series of books which are good but Liked these ones better and waiting for the next one now book 3! Recommended read.
