Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, J. M. DeMatteis was a professional musician and rock music journalist before entering the comicbook field. One of the most versatile writers in the graphic story medium, DeMatteis has won acclaim for a wide variety of projects including Marvel's Kraven's Last Hunt (Spiderman) and DC's Speeding Bullets (Superman and Batman) and Justice League.Legendary illustrator Mike Ploog Mike Ploog was born in St Thomas, Minnesota, and his work includes many projects for Marvel as well as graphic novels such as 'The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus' and macabre horror stories such as 'Wherewolf by Night'. His work on Abadazad marks a return to comic books after working for many years as a designer and storyboard artist in Hollywood.
