A great story of rivalry between Spider-Man and Kraven. All this time, we see Kraven as a one dimensional villain, but "Kraven The Last Hunt" change that. In this book, Kraven is portrayed as more than just a villain. He's a true hunter who seeks challenge to prove his ability. He's a man who respects Spider-man as his true rival, so true that Kraven goes SO FAR just to prove him better than the web slinger. And, he's also a man who is willing to change as long as the challenge he seeks has been completed. Story wise, Kraven the Last Hunt is a very dark and grimm story, even almost a tragedy. So dark that you wont even find spidey making jokes during fight. It's about Kraven who wants to test his ability and prove himself as the better "Spider-man" than the Spider-man. Most of the story are from Kraven's perspective.

Possibly the best Spidey story ever done...deMatteis gets Kraven in a way no other writer has, and ends it the only way it could. Again, amazing.
