Terry i used to love your books but now its only curiosity to see what happens that makes me read them. You mention the past events of characters way too often. You need to spend more time on what made your books great. The romance adventure between richard and kahlan, the sword fighting development of richard, the hero qualities, etc. Less filler, mire quality.

Terry Goodkind's writing is getting worse and worse. I used to love the way he narrated in his earlier books and how the characters were lovable. Now, there is nothing. I am almost about to give up on this book because it is so damn slow! SNOREFEST! This book is the Omen Machine Part 2... Dreadful... No more Terry Goodkind for me. I am done... I am not even curious of what will happen in the next books. bye!

About the author

Terry Goodkind (1948-2020) is a #1 New York Times bestselling author. His books include the multi-volume epic fantasy Sword of Truth series -- beginning with Wizard’s First Rule, the basis for the television show Legend of the Seeker -- and related series Richard and Kahlan and The Nicci Chronicles.

Goodkind was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where he also attended art school. Alongside a career in wildlife art, he was also a cabinetmaker and a violin maker, and did restoration work on rare and exotic artifacts from around the world. In the 1990s he relocated to Nevada, where, when not writing novels, he was a racing-car enthusiast.
