About this ebook

Here it is: Robin's baptism by fire as he dons the costume of Robin, the Boy Wonder for the first time and patrols the night by Batman's side. In his earliest adventures, Robin learns very quickly that what he thought would be fun is actually a matter of life and death. And in the action-packed origin of the original Batgirl, explore Barbara Gordon's transformation from average citizen into costumed super-heroine.

It was good, gave a good description of the year one of Robin and Batgirl, but I personally didn't like the artwork that much. Just me though.

Set in the early post "Batman: Year One" chronology, this volume collects two wonderful tales of Robin's(Dick Grayson) and subsequently Batgirl's(Barbara Gordon) first adventures in service of the Dark Knight's crusade for justice. Told in a contemporary, yet retro style, the clean and simple lines of the artwork evoke the classic animated series a little and the writing is punchy and fun. It is always fun to read a modern telling of a "definitive" version of formative Batman legacy events. Highly recommend.

Like I personally had no background in batgirl or robin but this book told me a lot I loved it. Even though I'm not a book person I couldn't keep my eyes off it.
