About this ebook

The riveting follow-up to the New York Times bestselling The 5th Wave, hailed by Justin Cronin as “wildly entertaining.”

How do you rid the Earth of seven billion humans? Rid the humans of their humanity.

Surviving the first four waves was nearly impossible. Now Cassie Sullivan finds herself in a new world, a world in which the fundamental trust that binds us together is gone. As the 5th Wave rolls across the landscape, Cassie, Ben, and Ringer are forced to confront the Others’ ultimate goal: the extermination of the human race.

Cassie and her friends haven’t seen the depths to which the Others will sink, nor have the Others seen the heights to which humanity will rise, in the ultimate battle between life and death, hope and despair, love and hate.

I was really excited to find out what happens next and see where the story leads me. The book kept the suspense and action that the first book had. I also enjoyed seeing my favorite characters in the book and getting to learn more about the other side characters from the first book. The book also has more plot twists and secrets that know how to get you guess without throwing everything at you at once. What I also liked is learning more about Ringers past and how she became Ringer we all know. Though the one thing I didn’t like was the structure of the book. I wish that since the book is split into sections I wish they would let us know which character’s point of view it is. It took me awhile to figure which character I am reading about.

I really enjoyed the first book and I'm half way through this one. My only drawback is the fact that 200 pages in and the group has virtually done an hour or two worth of activity. We're just getting different points of view of the same scenes. Its very well written but i hope the second half of the book contains more substantial activity.

Once again Rick Yancy blows my mind with his ability to write and tell a story. I didn't see half of the things that happened, coming. Also happy to get more of Ringers Pov. And that ending. Looking do forward to the conclusion!
