As a person of pagan faith, some details did not set quite right with me. The biggest being the name given to the final test for the three. There are more appropriate names in Celtic mythology that could and should have been used. I would still recommend this series to those looking for a little Irish magick and a whole lot of love.

I usually tend to like the work Nora Roberts puts out. I saw the first book in a book store, and purchased it. I enjoyed the build up of each character, and the conflicts. However, there were quite a bit of things wrong with the entire trilogy. Throughout the entire trilogy we see the three and the other three constantly second guessing themselves. True, it is human nature, but being reminded "We are a circle" hoopla over and over it gets a bit annoying. There were many points where the situation changed without a hint to the reader. Perhaps it was the second and third book being digital copies that was the problem. But there were no defined breaks where the situation changed. I enjoyed the story and the constant turmoil each character faced with finding and accepting love. It was splendid, and amazing when they finally found it. With that said, I am incredibly annoyed with the ending of the third book. The ending was so rushed, and not really enough closure to complete the story. What point, as a reader, do I need to hear of the girls planning Iona's wedding when we're not given a glimpse of it? What was the point of the constant struggle to accept and embrace their love for each other from childhood for Connor and Meara? For Fin and Branna, I felt the worst. Their love tied to so much pain was finally let out , embraced and bloomed. But we only see the small ending, and the quote from their cousins to "See them soon", but it did not happen in the book. Perhaps a chapter of "1 year later", if you will, to tell of what a year has made for all of them.The joy of the wedding of Iona, and maybe a tell of what Connor and Meara's wedding was like. See what the future held, and just to see that they truly were happy after their duty was done. I know some will say it ended perfectly. That fate happened and the future unfolds as it will. But it leaves this reader a bit disappointed.

This has been a great series, but this was a disappointment. Only 234 pages and writer doesn't finish the characters story. They defeat the bad guy and its done. not finishing stories of the characters she had been building.
