Lynsay Sands has built an epicly detailed world full of complex and realistic characters while writing about Atlantis and vampires and always mentioning home (yay Canadian representation). I've followed this series for about 20 years now, and I still excitedly await each new book and always recommend this series to anyone I think might be willing to give to my fave series a go. This book continued her amazing track record for making me think things are going one way and then hitting me with something I never considered. I love that she can still surprise me after all these years with her creativity and I love how diverse each character is completely built with motivations and fears and backstories of their own and we regularly get to have recurring characters become main characters. Television has never given us plots as carefully and seamlessly planned and meticulously tracked and as longstanding as The Argeneau series.

Bad Luck Vampire is a quick read with lots of laughs, passion, crazy surprises, and loveable characters! I highly recommend the book and the Argeneau series! *Net Galley provided in exchange for honest review*
