I received a complimentary copy of this book and I also purchased a copy. This was a delightful story. The characters were wonderful and the story was well written. I adored seeing prior characters making appearances. Georgie Durant moves to Last Stand, Texas after her last boyfriend and fellow paramedic didn't want to move the relationship forward. He didn't want to commit. After being together 2 years, Georgie figured it was time to at least move in together. The boyfriend didn't want to move forward so she broke up with him. Not being able to work with him, she gets a job at the fire department in Last Stand. After being in town for a week, she goes to a Christmas party with some co-workers. It is there that she runs into Spencer McBride, a fellow firefighter/paramedic under the mistletoe. The rest of the road to Spencer and Georgie's HEA was one that was beautifully done. I so loved reading the story from the dual POV format. Seeing into Georgie's thoughts and how she felt about her last relationship (especially since it was guiding her present relationship with Spencer) was a wonderful thing. There was a sexy read so I would only highly recommend this story to someone over the age of 18. If you love a firefighter/paramedic romance, then you need to read this one. While this is a part of a series, this book can be read as a stand-alone.

Spencer and Georgie’s love story in Under the Mistletoe by Eve Gaddy, book three in her Heart of Texas series, was a wonderful, sexy, emotional and enjoyable tale. Firefighter and paramedic Spencer McBride enjoys being a bachelor and not getting serious about anyone. That is until he physically runs into newcomer Georgie, under the mistletoe; not once, not twice, but five times. Paramedic Georgie Durant moved to Last Stand, Texas for a fresh start after the man she gave her heart to, and worked with, wouldn’t commit. Although Georgie is tempted by Spencer, she’s afraid of his easy charm and getting involved in a workplace relationship; especially after her last one. As Spencer and Georgie spend time together working on the Toy Drive and experiencing Christmas in Last Stand, she begins to thaw as she sees his dedication and devotion to the people he helps and the town he loves. Georgie struggles with the possibility that Spencer could be different than her ex. Spencer knows he wants Georgie and now he needs to prove to her that she can trust him and his feelings. Now if he can only convince her to take a chance on him. Ms. Gaddy wrote a wonderful and sexy story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with sexual chemistry, amusing banter, lots of mistletoe, and endearing characters giving Spencer and Georgie a chance to discover they were meant for to be together forever. I highly recommend Under the Mistletoe to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This book tells the story of Spencer and Georgie, who become colleagues when she moves to Last Stand to start afresh after the break up of her relationship with her ex co-worker Cole, because of his refusal to commit even after 3 years dating. Because of this, when she meets Spencer under the Mistletoe and sparks fly, she remains resolutely determined to never date a colleague again, and makes sure Spencer has no illusions in that regard. What I really like about the two main characters is the banter between them, the fact they genuinely like each other, even if Georgie refuses to agree to anything more. Spencer is a lovely character in every way, as is Georgie, they are both very likeable and I was really rooting for them. I also enjoyed being back in Last Stand, Texas, and seeing some familiar names from previous books. A really sweet, easy read, full of Christmas good feeling.
