Heart of the Texas Warrior by Eve Gaddy is book number four in the Heart of Texas series. This is Jessie McBride and Asher Chapman’s story. Asher was a really good guy. He had so many issues that he needed to work through. He was always ready to provide assistance and help to others but didn’t always do what was best for him. Jessie had her own issues to work through too. This was a sweet and tender story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Loved this book, very independent Jessie meets former Green Beret, Asher while doing physical therapy on her broken leg. A friendship develops with their mutual love of animals. Jessie rescues mustangs and Asher runs a foundation of rescue animals for veterans. The friendship develops into much more but Asher id hiding something from Jessie and will it break or make them? Loved these characters, they are so much alike. Both are strong willed and independent. Great sexual chemistry between them. I loved the animals. This is the fourth book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I am loving this town of Last Stand.

I LOVED this book! Eve Gaddy has added another great book to the McBride series of Last Stand, Texas. It had me turning the pages from the very first to the last. Jessie McBride is a true cowgirl and did not follow the family's footsteps to be part of the medical field. She breads Spanish Mustangs and rescues wild horses until a accident forces her to stop and take a break. In comes Asher Chapman to the rescue. Asher is a former Green Beret that has a foundation that matches Veterans with stray dogs. They first meet by accident one night. Then as luck would have it they met again in Physical therapy. They are a true mach made in heaven if only Asher can admit his problem. Can Jessie help him to understand she isn't like his last girlfriend and give love a chance. I have loved this series and would definitely recommend it. You will love it I promise. I was given a ARC in return for my honest review.
