This is my first read by Eve Gaddy and I was thoroughly enchanted! THE DOCTOR’S CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL is full of all kinds of warm and fuzzy feelings. Mia and Wyatt are great characters and I really enjoyed reading their friends-to-lovers story. Wyatt moved back home to Montana shortly after his fiancée cheated on him. But not before breaking up with her and sharing one night of passion with his best friend Mia. He’s faced with attending his brother’s wedding and invites Mia to his hometown to accompany him to the wedding and spend Christmas with him. You see, Wyatt has finally realized that his feelings for Mia are deeper than the close friendship they shared. He’s invited Mia to the wedding to help him get through it, but also to spend time with her and hopefully explore these uncharted feelings. Mia is an artist living and working in Colorado when she gets a call from her friend Wyatt inviting her to come to a wedding. She’s surprised and a little reluctant, but ultimately agrees to go. The thing is, Mia has loved Wyatt almost as long as she’s known him. He broke her heart when he decided to up and move back home and hasn’t spoken to her since. Mia decides that she’s going to make this trip count and show Wyatt exactly what he’s missing while trying to keep her heart from breaking all over again. There’s just one little (big) thing, she’s got a secret she’s kept from him. Can she and Wyatt start something special, or will this secret destroy any possibility of a relationship between them? Wyatt is charming, sincere and very romantic. Mia is a strong female, but very guarded. She’s afraid of the feelings she has for Wyatt and of the secret she still hasn’t yet revealed to him. Her character was easily relatable. What I loved about this story was the support of the secondary characters. Wyatt’s family is hard-working and fun-loving. I want to know more about them and the people of this quaint Montana town! I fell in love with characters in The Doctor’s Christmas Proposal by Eve Gaddy. This is the third book featuring the Gallagher family who live in Marietta, Montana. It also has a friends to lovers theme. Dr. Wyatt Gallagher returns to Marietta after being duped by a woman he was dating. It isn’t until he has moved away that he realizes how important Mia Watson is to him. He wants more than just a friendship with her. Wyatt convinces Mia to come to Marietta for the Christmas holidays. Mia has loved Wyatt for a long time but knew she was nothing more than a friend to him. That is until one unforgettable night when comfort turns into passion. Then Wyatt moved back home, leaving Mia to deal with an unexpected consequence of that night as well as the heartbreak that follows. When Wyatt finds out about Mia’s omission, he wonders if he can trust her. Will Mia be able to forgive herself and prove to Wyatt that she is worthy of his trust? This was a fun, wonderful and entertaining story with very loveable and authentic characters you want to cheer on, hoping for that happy ending. The characters were well written with complex characteristics. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

3 stars — I don’t know…this one started off not bad, but something was just missing from the writing to bring it from words on a page to magic. I’m not a writer, so I don’t even know what’s missing…all I know is that I was sucked in, I wasn’t that captivated, it felt like perfunctory reading instead of emotions and connections and all that shiznit. It didn’t help that I grew annoyed with Mia’s constant worry over her secret, but her refusal to do anything about it or reach out to anyone. And I was not impressed with Wyatt really at all — he kind of came across as a douchecanoe. His reactions were volatile, he wasn’t super supportive, he wasn’t super kind…he was average stereotypical male, and that’s not my jam. As for the chemistry between them? Eh. There were all these romantic dates and moments that could have been more, but there was something missing preventing me from swooning or getting wrapped up in them together. *shrugs* I’m starting to wonder if it’s me or the books. I’ll keep trying!
