Ratings and reviews

Whilst the detail is very good, I found the Peep personalities and politics pretty hard going and started to skip chunks of this tome. Still a remarkable achievement well worth a read.

David continues to draw a great yarn 🧶 of a tale as Honor keeps growing from strength to strength. The story also encompasses the Peeps fighting back, showing how worthy her foes are. However in fleshing out the Honorverse Weber uses too many upper echelon talking heads to set mood, tone, and scenery instead of man-on-the-street reactions. He eventually does this in later books, but it reduces the imagination of the audience.
