One of the better Honor tales. The cut and thrust of action tempered by points of view by players large and small. Not too much exposition, but the menace of the Mesan Alignment isn't far away. One wonders in the aftermath of these battles in space what happens to debris, and does recovery of material and corpses occur under a convention? In all his books, Weber only once delves into this issue, with empathy and determination, but only in one scene. And he has become very technical with ranges, acceleration and vector mathematics of space engagements than other hard sci Fi writers.

Absolutely worthless. Weber's quality went downhill really quick, I didn't even manage to finish this book and the one before was a drag. The others, well suffice to say I've read them and enjoyed them quite a lot. But this? No. Absolutely not worth the money.
