Robert Marney
There's a reason this volume is twice as expensive as the others: it represents Claremont and Byrne in top shape, with fun new ideas on every page. Wolverine develops a character. Magneto has a spine tingling battle. Banshee saves the day. Reading this, you can see how much fun the X-Men are, without having to know anything about the Phoenix or a dark future or anybody's lineage.
