About the author
Baudelaire wurde am 09.04.1821 in Paris geboren und starb am 31.08.1867 ebendort. Nach unglücklicher Kindheit und Jugend (er litt sehr unter seinem strengen Stiefvater) begab er sich in die Pariser Bohéme. 1842 erhielt er das beträchtliche väterliche Erbe ausgezahlt und führte fortan das Leben eines Dandy.
