STRESSFUL, but worth it! LAPD Profiler Jessie Hunt and her fiancé Ryan Hernandez are personally tasked by LAPD Police Chief Laird to investigate the high profile death of his friend. Making it touchy is that even though they are the best at what they do, Laird doesn’t like them. Meanwhile, communication issues between Jessie and Ryan over wedding plans throws added tensions onto the couple when their focus needs to be fully on finding a killer. I really enjoyed this entry! So much fun to read.

The case in this story, although putting a lot of pressure on Jessie and Ryan, seemed to be easy to solve - there was doubt whether the deceased committed suicide or if he was murdered in the sauna. The difficult part, in the beginning, seemed to be how to act according to the timetable defined by the Police Chief of Southern California. The deceased and his wife, plus 2 couples of friends had gone to the spa to reconnect and have time for themselves, all of them very rich and hard workers. Was it really murder? Was it connected to the stolen items? Was it the same person? As the investigation proceeds, details relating to the couples' relationship emerge. Was one of them the culprit and why? Reaching the solution almost by accident, Jessie and Ryan still have to face the killer who had the chance to evade the spa. Will they be able to put them behind bars? At the same time, Jessie's sister, Hannah, is having problems at the clinic she is receiving treatment and an old "friend" is targeting Jessie again! Looking forward to book #20!
