Fast paced murder mystery that is well written. True psychological suspense with protagonists that are likable and have multiple layers of depth. In addition there is a mystery within the main mystery involving the primary protagonists sister. Jesse is juggling a lot. She's raising a teenage sister who worries that her feelings are repressed. She's dealing with her boyfriend who is struggling through a disability caused by her ex. She's quit her job as a profiler and is teaching at a college. And now her former Captain has manipulated her into working a murder of a wealthy woman who everyone claims to love. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Although this story does not tell a real murder case while reading it I had the impression of reading something very similar to some stories in the news. There is a lot of deceit, hate, gossip, betrayal, fake friendships, and the most shallow reasons for a crime. There´s also Hannah and her need for a thrill without really measuring all the consequences for herself and for those around her, in a way very similar to those around her age that look for thrills and chills in drugs, dangerously driving, excessive drinking, and so on. This story, for me, is a lot like real life. However, as always, is well written, with mystery and action well placed within the plot, and very entertaining!!! The Perfect Facade is the twelfth book in the Jessie Hunt Psychological Suspense Thriller series. This book is a great addition to the series. This story is well written and kept me engaged from start to finish with murder, deceit, likable characters, multiple suspects, danger, and mystery. I am looking forward to the next book in this thrilling series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.
