Shelia goes to the prison to talk to the man who might know something about her mother's murder but the Warden won't let her see him. Her sister gets her clearance to work a new case involving a family of four found hung from a tree in a cemetery. When she arrives at the station Finn tells her that her sister left him in charge and went home. They begin working the case but she continues trying to locate her sister and can't. This is a great book!

Sheila is consumed with the need to find her mother's killer so she can go on with her own life, her sister is focusing on her own demons and facing her life with special needs whilst a deranged person is killing families. What is his motive? Sheila and Finn will relentlessly search for the connections leading them to the culprit and with the case closed she'll go back to her mother and her sister, and unsettling news will arise. I thank Ms. Pierce and her publisher for this ARC.
