About this audiobook

The companion volume to 12 Rules for Life offers further guidance on the perilous path of modern life.

In 12 Rules for Life, clinical psychologist and celebrated professor at Harvard and the University of Toronto Dr. Jordan B. Peterson helped millions of readers impose order on the chaos of their lives. Now, in this bold sequel, Peterson delivers twelve more lifesaving principles for resisting the exhausting toll that our desire to order the world inevitably takes.

In a time when the human will increasingly imposes itself over every sphere of life—from our social structures to our emotional states—Peterson warns that too much security is dangerous. What’s more, he offers strategies for overcoming the cultural, scientific, and psychological forces causing us to tend toward tyranny, and teaches us how to rely instead on our instinct to find meaning and purpose, even—and especially—when we find ourselves powerless.

While chaos, in excess, threatens us with instability and anxiety, unchecked order can petrify us into submission. Beyond Order provides a call to balance these two fundamental principles of reality itself, and guides us along the straight and narrow path that divides them.

Beautiful absolutely beautiful. I would very much love the opportunity to one day, meet and converse with you. Thank you so much for what you have done for me and life. 500 allotment of single letters is just too infantissimal to properly and adequately express and convey my true feelings of gratitude and appreciation towards you that I will not attempt to do so here. You are the goat. If one is able and willing to really hear you, I would surmise they view your presence and aura in such way to

Jordan continues to positively impact my life with anything great book. Over one year ago I was struggling with substance abuse, struggling with my marriage and my role as a father, and consistently falling short in my career. Since reading the first 12 Rules for Life my life has taken a complete 180. My marriage is better than it's ever been, I've improved my role as a father and son to my sickly parents, opened a successful business, and have found much happiness in my responsibilities. As a professional coach I have shared these methods successfully with many people and helped change their lives. I'm now sober and have found my way back to church and serve community with great joy. I highly recommend this book to any action driven person looking to improve their personal relationships, professional life, and find more meaning in life. I could go on and on with all the ways his books and lectures have completely changed my life for the good. Thank you for everything Dr. Peterson.

This was a good listen but I have to say I'm disappointed overall. if you're a fan of the JP podcast you've already heard about 75% of this book. Pinocchio, dragons, the Old Testament, writing out your past...I feel like I've already read this book before listening to it.
