About this audiobook

New York Times Bestseller

Joining the ranks of The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, You Are a Badass, and F*ck Feelings comes this refreshing, BS-free, self-empowerment guide that offers an honest, no-nonsense, tough-love approach to help you move past self-imposed limitations.

Are you tired of feeling fu*ked up? If you are, Gary John Bishop has the answer. In this straightforward handbook, he gives you the tools and advice you need to demolish the slag weighing you down and become the truly unfu*ked version of yourself. ""Wake up to the miracle you are,"" he directs. ""Here's what you've forgotten: You're a fu*king miracle of being."" It isn't other people that are standing in your way, it isn't even your circumstances that are blocking your ability to thrive, it's yourself and the negative self-talk you keep telling yourself.

In Unfu*k Yourself, Bishop leads you through a series of seven assertions:

  • I am willing
  • I am wired to win
  • I got this
  • I embrace the uncertainty
  • I am not my thoughts; I am what I do
  • I am relentless
  • I expect nothing and accept everything

Lead the life you were meant to have—Unfu*k Yourself.

One of the most average and motivation-poor self-help book I've ever read. It's full of clichés, along with some boring quotes from ancient philosophers and obvious realities e.g. actions are better than thoughts, you're going to die, etc. Really? I had no clue. This book is just a collection of definitions of some concepts and how they relate to each other. It has taught me nothing new, nor has it led to any interesting conclusions. It's not even a motivation-booster. You can do it! Wake up! That's quite lame, absolutely cheesy and crucially lacks subtleness. The author has nothing interesting to showcase, and his credibility is questionable... Come on, he's been coaching celebrities and some religious people in Thailand? Who's that supposed to impress? Attempts to humor are always a fail, illustrations are also very poor: A. Schwarzenegger has made it where he is now because it was possible! And he worked hard everyday! No way, who could have guessed? Don't waste your money.

Giving this a 1 star cause your 6 year old saw a cuss word on the title is rediculous, Svpon. It has a clever * in the word that a 6 year old isnt going to decipher it unless you told them what it was and maybe its your parenting that gets a 1 star for leaving it out for them to see it to begin with; and your child cried for over 2 months cause of a word on the cover of a book is signs that there is something else going on there, however chronic cryers syndrome doesn't exist, but there is a thing called Pseudobulbar Affect which is a neurological disorder which should be addressed asap so if your child is really showing these symptoms I hope for there sake you seek help. Also fyi you wouldn't have figured this out without this book just saying.

First off he says that "motivational speakers have been done to death", this entire book is exactly that. I really enjoy listening to a good self-help audiobook, but this is one is just brutal. Heavy Scottish accent.
