About this app

The myMerlinPulse™ mobile application for patients is intended for use by people who have an Abbott Medical implanted heart device and access to a mobile device. The app provides remote monitoring capability of the device by transmitting information from the patient’s implanted heart device to the patient’s healthcare provider.

The App uses an internet connection through a WiFi or cellular network to send information about your implanted heart device to your healthcare provider. Your information is encrypted to ensure the privacy and security of the transmission.

The app’s intuitive user-friendly interface allows you to check if your heart device is connected with your doctor, get information about your heart device including its battery status, view the history of transmissions and send manual transmissions to your healthcare provider, and be notified if there has been a significant change in the performance of your implanted device.

This app will only function once paired with your implanted device.

This app does not currently support tablet devices.

Have only one big inconvenience while using my MerlinPulse application and that is the constant message saying it is running in background and on a loop all day long...gets very annoying and most inconveniently sound and messaging while you are needing it to be quiet around your surroundings. Everything else works effectively and glad to have this app connected to my device for transmitting purposes and for my peace of mind especially since my health depends on my ICD

App says there is an android update available but won't install. It's not my phone. Also, when my heart is having issues it takes forever for this app to connect to my device and send the telemetry. Often times I have to restart my phone to get the app to connect. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to quickly alert someone to look at the info in a timely manner. It also at times says I am not connected to the internet when I am.

Satisfactory app, straightforward user interface, great choice of fonts and colors to ensure ease of reading. Only issues I have is, 1: it wants full-time location permissions, and 2: for consistent connectivity Bluetooth must be turned off then on before sending a transmission.
