Lisa Scottoline

Lisa Scottoline is an American author of legal thrillers.
Born in Philadelphia, Scottoline earned a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and later became a litigator at a law firm in Philadelphia. After the birth of her daughter she left the law firm and started writing, as a way to earn money from home. Final Appeal received the 1995 Edgar Award for "Best Paperback Original Mystery," She has since written 14 bestselling novels, including Look Again and Don't Go, both which reached number two on the New York Times Best Seller List. Her novels have been translated into 25 languages.
Since March 2007 Scottoline has been writing the "Chick Wit" column for The Philadelphia Inquirer. A collection of her columns was compiled in a book entitled Why My Third Husband Will Be A Dog: The Amazing Adventures of an Ordinary Woman and published on November 24, 2009.
