I surely wasn't disappointed with this read. However, I did not enjoy it nearly as much as The Good Girl (5/5). I will say that this author's style of writing is brilliant! I love the way she develops these characters so that the reader is left to decide whether they are the "hero" or the "villian". I did take away a star though, because (in my opinion) the ending wasn't as well thought out as the rest of the novel. Well worth the read. Thanks Mary Kubica, I will continue following your work!

I decided to read this book after devouring The Good Girl in a single day. The premise was compelling, but towards the end things got a little slow. I wish the ending had wrapped up certain aspects of the story better. Overall, though, I did enjoy the book. I will definitely keep my eye out for any future works by this author. Her writing style is excellent, and the multiple perspectives are refreshing.

Excellent! It's been awhile since a novel grabbed me from beginning to end and this book exceeded my expectations! Engrossing character studies, each perspective complex and engaging. Appropriately categorized a psychological thriller, "Pretty Baby" emotionally twists and turns, so much so, that I didn't want the book to end! In fact, I did the next best thing, and started reading Kubica's "The Good Girl".
