About this ebook

Over a million copies sold.

“A twisty, roller coaster ride of a debut. Fans of Gone Girl will embrace this equally evocative tale.” —Lisa Gardner, #1 New York Times bestselling author

“I’ve been following her for the past few days. I know where she buys her groceries, where she has her dry cleaning done, where she works. I don’t know the color of her eyes or what they look like when she’s scared. But I will.”

One night, Mia Dennett enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn’t show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. At first Colin Thatcher seems like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia’s life.

When Colin decides to hide Mia in a secluded cabin in rural Minnesota instead of delivering her to his employers, Mia’s mother, Eve, and detective Gabe Hoffman will stop at nothing to find them. But no one could have predicted the emotional entanglements that eventually cause this family’s world to shatter.

An addictively suspenseful and tautly written thriller, The Good Girl is a propulsive debut that reveals how even in the perfect family, nothing is as it seems.

This story is absolutely ridiculous, Mary Kubica's editor must have been high. I will concede that the author had a good sense of how to keep me reading all the way to the end, which took forever, had the Laziest plot "twist" - which was laughably unrealistic. I just wanted to smack her. It should have been called THE DUMB SPOILED ROTTEN NARCISSISTIC BITCH GIRL this is one of 3 books that I have just hated. No offense to anyone who enjoyed the book, but come on - seriously?

It was ok. I finished it in one day mainly because I wanted to get it over with. Skipped a few chapters due to them dragging on and on. Ending wasn't what I had hoped for, there was a last minute plot twist as well. Good read if you're bored, however the plot isn't something I haven't read or seen before...Also a lot of people are saying that it was a roller coaster of plots twists and turns however there was only like 1 and it wasnt until the last chapter which irritated me quite a bit.

This book was okay. It's definitely worth the cost of an ebook and the time it takes to read it. I liked the writing, story and suspense. I loved the ending. What I didn't like was the main character, Mia. I just didn't like her. Maybe we aren't supposed to like her. I don't know. One thing I do know is that this book is nothing like Gone Girl.
