Lachlan Mount is completely alpha male and in this third and final part he continues to exude the power, control, intensity, and charisma he depicts so perfectly in the previous two parts. He is super, super sexy and convincingly shows the passion he feels towards Keira Kilgore, the heroine at the heart of this story. Their journey together takes twists and turns, highs and lows with never a dull moment. It’s an addictive read and, at times, kept me on the edge of my seat. An exciting, sexy, dynamic final part. Sinful Empire strips back all the layers of the narrative to reveal the why, the how and the who. Everything is explained and makes total sense in terms of plot and motivation making this a very satisfying read for me. *ARC from author in exchange for an honest review* Lachlan Mount & Kiera Kilgore were tied together over a debt owed, then one thing lead to another book and you see a different side to the Ruthless King, that has Kiera reconsidering her feelings for him. Some things happen and threaten to tear the two apart, but they fight for each other, because through this crazy journey they’ve realized they’re made for each other. It’s hard to write this review because I can’t give too much without including spoilers. Sinful Empire is the conclusion to what were 2 amazing books in this trilogy, Ruthless King & Defiant Queen. If I’m being 100% honest, which I always am, Empire fell a little short for me.

I didn't like how the 3 books were separated, no real conclusion until the last one and it was almost too sweet and innocent. I love the sex scenes in the first two books but again too vanilla in the third. Good story and plot twists until the end, felt that was too rushed and almost church friendly.
