The first book in the series introduces the reader to Zoe Prime, a semi-experienced FBI Agent who has a condition where she cannot interpret basic social cues. Yet she has the ability to easily perform extraordinary mathematical equations and use them to visualize what others cannot and solve crimes. This has led to feelings of alienation. Zoe was raised by a very religious Mother who made her feel her unique gift was more of a curse. She has lost many partners because they did not understand her behavior. She pretends to be “normal,” yet is never quite able to fully pull it off. She has hope that her new Partner will be more accepting and allows herself to open up and disclose her condition. Even as Zoe recognizes similarities between herself and the killer it is a race against time to find his motivation and stop him from taking additional lives.

The book was phenomenal the suspense mystery everything was in perfect balance. But the ending wasn't really appealing to me the killer died thinking he completed his spiral ,yes Zoe might've saved the girl but that doesn't matter in the end the killer got his satisfaction what he was seeking since he started killing . It's kinda like winning an argument but the person you were having an argument with thinks that she did

Good storyline, good in general, but I did skim read about 50 to 70 pages of counting and observing, this may be due to my mathematical boredom block, but to me it seemed to just be book bulking.. Great for a rapid skim read.
