I first read the book with great enthusiasm. The prologue caught my attention, promising an out of this world story about bots that have been hidden for centuries on earth. The first chapters went well, but as the chapters build up, it gets more and more tiresome to read. Little that I know that this whole book is actually a recording of interviews with a lot of different characters put together until the very last chapter. I didn't manage to finish it, I stopped on chapter 250 something. This is so boring to read.

I loved this book and was pretty hooked from beginning to end. Although the story was told entirely from the point of views of the characters through interviews and journaling, and we only see the situation through a unique perspective, it was still riveting. The only reason i couldnt give it that 5th star is that i have so many unanswered questions! I will absolutely be standing by for more installments!!

The style of storytelling in this novel is very creative compared to every other novel I know of. If you've seen True Detective, this should remind you of that. However, since the point of view is of different people reflecting over the past, then there is a sense of suspense that gets taken out. Instead, you are trying to piece together the full story as each bit is revealed to you.
