Good-for-you-girl energy for “The Scandalous Ladies of London: The Countess” by Sophie Jordan!! There is a dark romance tone to this book which I find is different from other historical romance books. It is serious, there is desperation for saving one’s life, yet there is love and hope on the other side of the street. I find the darker tone makes this book unique, and there is a very dramatic ending to get a beautiful beginning!
