I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports. The secrets haunting Beau Rochester come alive. He doesn't deserve happiness, but he hold it in his hands. A woman he loves. A child. The past threatens to rip them away. He risks losing them forever. Jane Mendoza is determined to protect the people she loves from every threat-the mysterious arsonist, the corrupt police force. The darkest danger comes from a place she never expects. She risks more than her newfound family. She risks her life. This is the third book in the Rochester Trilogy. You need to read Private Property and Strict Confidence first or you are going to be lost. Now in Best Kept Secret we are getting the conclusion to the Rochester Series. I have loved the time I have spent with Beau and Jane. These two have such a strong connection that they have really fought for. Jane is literally willing to put her life on the line to keep Beau and Paige out of danger or harms way. That however doesn't mean that she doesn't have doubts that she belongs in the world of Beau. But all your questions will be answered with some twists and turns along the way. I was so glad to have this book in my hands. I so had to know how this book series was going to conclude and it was so worth the wait to get that conclusion.

This was not the conclusion I expected, it was better! This entire series, and especially this book, is a stage where you are watching the players. The atmosphere, the reactions, the suspense, all the emotions, they aren’t prose, it is a play and you are watching it happen. You are experiencing it with the characters. Jane, Beau, little Paige, and all the side characters convene, moving across the stage, playing their parts, telling their story. There is love, there is danger, there is self-sacrifice, and there is bravery. Jane and Beau have to sort through all of these to do what is best for them, the family they have created, for everyone involved. That they get the happy ending they have is miraculous, as all the cards are stacked against them. But it happens, and the dreams they held dear, too scared to share with anyone else, come true with each other <3

One heart warming cookies with this conclusion for Beau and Jane's story. The pace is slower in this third book for the inner struggle from Beau and Jane is so strong. Their fear of loosing each other drove them to push one another just to protect their love one. The suspence is minimum after in two books prior always leave us in awful cliffy. I cant explain it perfectly how i feel with this book, but Skye Warren's writing with this book, with the whole trilogy- the layers of secrets, the charachters chemistry, the twist and turn in the plot -is like a wave rolling in from the sea. Deceiving in its calmness. Yet majesticly beautiful in its wrath. Simply... Mesmerizing
