About this ebook

Minor league player Stone Dumelin lost his younger brother when the Titans’ team plane went down. He never expected the phone call that followed.

After a shoulder injury put my NHL career on ice, I resigned myself to the fact I’d never see my way out of the minor league again. As my career faded, my estranged brother’s star shot into orbit as the first line left winger for the Pittsburgh Titans. But when the team’s plane crashed returning home one night, his light was snuffed out, and I was given the opportunity of a lifetime.

Now I’m in Pittsburgh, playing for the Titans, and face-to-face with my dead brother’s ghost at every turn. His locker, his legacy, his persistent and annoyingly gorgeous attorney who won’t stop contacting me about his estate, even though I’ve demanded she leave me alone.

Harlow Alston would be extremely appealing if she wasn’t so aggravating. Only…that’s a complete lie. She pushes all the right buttons for me, and as much as I want her to quit pestering me about Brooks’s estate, I find myself intrigued by the fiery redhead who can’t take no for an answer. And the more I learn about Harlow, the more I find she might be the key to understanding who Brooks really was, and who I want to be.

I’ve got a second shot at a career I thought I’d lost and the opportunity to build something real with Harlow, but can I find strength to move forward or will my past dictate my future?

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is Stone's story, and it starts at the very beginning from the moment he learns of his brother's Brooks death and through when he joins the team, and we get to see the team as it grows into the Titans 2.0. With Brooks death, Stone joins his old team, and he ends up meeting Brooks close friend, neighbor and estate trustee, Harlow. Harlow was very close to Brooks and has some important things to share with Stone. This book is really Stone's journey into who his brother was and his legacy. Brooks was much more than a great hockey player and brother and I loved that Stone lets Harlow in so he can get to know who his brother was. Harlow is an awesome character and I adored her. She lost one of her best friends and she works very hard to get Stone to meet with her and she helps him come to terms with his brother and who he was and their painful past. This story made me laugh, cheer, cry and sigh many times. It's a feel-good romance with lots of heart and in it we learn what family means to Brooks, Stone, and Harlow.

Audio Review What a great series that has come out of tragedy. These players are all broken in some way and trying to heal not only the team that has lost so much but also themselves. This is Stone Dumelin's story and a great story it is. Stone has lost his younger brother to the plane crash that took the Pittsburgh Titans team. He is also a hockey player but has currently been playing in the minors where his brother was in the majors. He is still numb from the funeral when he gets a call he can't believe, they want him on the team. Then he is even more shocked when an attorney notifies him his brother has left him not only his estate but secrets to process. Harlow Alston comes from a long line of attorneys but where her family all work for profit, she chooses to work for those less fortunate. When her best friend leaves her unexpectedly and he has a request that she can't refuse she has no idea where that will lead her but she somehow feels maybe her friend has something to do with all this. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson were great to listen to. Perfect timing from start to finish and loved listening to both of them. This is a great story and great series.

Stone is the second book in the new Pittsburgh Titans series. This story was really something. Stone’s family life wasn’t easy and with his brothers passing and being a new member of the Titans, he’s struggling and who could blame him. The emotions this book brought out of me, made me not put the book down till I finished and I was incredibly blown away by how Stone’s character changed. When Stone keeps getting messages from Harlow, he needs to get her to leave him alone. What eventuates after their meeting to discuss his brothers estate, is a storyline that gripped my attention and made me want to wrap him up in a hug too. I also really liked Harlow, for her kindness and her ability to help Stone in many ways. Stone needs to come to terms with some things and I wondered what direction their burdening friendship would take. Needless to say I really devoured the story and cannot wait for more of the series to come.
