When I read this omnibus for the first time, to prepare myself for what would be a disappointing movie, i finished it in one night and immediately read it again, its rich lands, brilliant characters, and mind-boggling story captures me every time and won't let go. For any fan of Rowling, Lewis, or Tolkein, this is definitely the next series for you. And be hardcore, get the omnibus, impress your friends with your 1000+ page book.

I've read this trilogy and absolutely loved all three books. In the last book I actually cried. This story is exciting and captivating. I was transported into this world and went on every adventure side-by-side the characters. The movie, The Golden Compass, did not do the book justice. So, if you have decided not to read this group of books based on the movie, then you are truly going to miss out on an epic adventure. I'm reading these again with my granddaughters. So far, we've read all the Harry Potter and Hunger Games books and have spent hours reliving the stories, and I look forward to doing the same with this group.

I first got my hands on The Golden Compass and The Subtle Knife when I was about 12 or so. And The Amber Spyglass when I was about 14. This series gripped me so strongly and passionately when I first read it that it turned me into a avid, voracious reader. -Sure, I'd read books before that were good and enjoyable, but nothing like this. I just re-read the whole series starting with The Book Of Dust (part 1). I'm going to be 32 this year and this series still made me feel like I did when I first read it.💜💜
