It's the last book in the series but the first to have been written. Absolutely amazing how the first three in the series lead to this story. I enjoyed the ending(beginning) of the series. This is a series that ranks among my favorites and stands with authors such as Eddings, Brooks, and McKiernan.

PATRICIA C. WREDE has written many novels, including the four books in the Enchanted Forest Chronicles and the middle grade novelizations of the blockbuster films Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. Ms. Wrede lives near Minneapolis, Minnesota.
