About this ebook

Cristina

Monsters don’t hide in the dark.

When I met Damian Di Santo in a dark corridor of my family home I knew he was a monster.

I was a scared girl.

He was already a man.

That was when his twisted countdown began.

Marked by dead roses with sharp thorns, eight years passed each bringing me closer to becoming his. Until the eve of my eighteenth birthday.

That was the night he returned to claim me.

Damian

Circumstance put Cristina on my path.

Fate bound her to me.

Cristina and I share a common past. A single night that changed the course of our lives.

She asked me if I was a monster the night I met her.

I am.

She’s about to learn I’m her monster.

Because the countdown that began eight years ago has ended. Her time is up.

On the stroke of midnight, she’s mine.

4. 25 stars-- UNHOLY UNION is the first instalment in Natasha Knight’s contemporary, adult UNHOLY UNION dark, romance duet focusing on eighteen year old Christina Valentina, and Damian Di Santo. NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers. Told from dual first person perspectives (Damian and Christina) UNHOLY UNION focuses on repayment of a debt. Eight years earlier, Christina’s father sacrificed his life in an effort to protect his daughter but his sacrifice was for naught when a newly turned eighteen year old Christina would find herself the captive of Damian DiSanto, a captive meant to repay a debt. As Christina struggles to come to terms with the past and the present, she will quickly discover that it is her future that is in question, a future that is no longer under her control. UNHOLY UNION is a dark and gritty story of betrayal and revenge that covers but a few days in the life. Christina lost everything eight years earlier, and in the ensuing time our heroine had no idea that her life was no longer under her control. Damian DiSanto bided his time waiting for secure payment for sins of the past but Damian knows that to protect what now belongs to him, he is going to have to take total control of the family empire, starting at the top. UNHOLY UNION focuses on payment for a debt. Christina Valentina, oblivious to the criminal underworld that had taken control of her family and her life, finds herself a virtual prisoner whose only protection is the man who has staked a claim on her life. With the DiSanto family demanding vengeance Damian knows that it is only a matter of time before everything spirals out of control. The premise is haunting, dramatic and intense; the characters are desperate and brooding; the romance is negligible as the author continues to set the tone for the building relationship that is currently that of predator and prey.

Natasha Knight does it again. I can’t get enough of her dark mafia (ish) romance novels. Unfortunately this is a duet. I say unfortunately because I now have to wait to find out what the heck is going to happen. Not that it’s a humongous cliffie, but still, I need these two to stop messing around and just make me happy, because even though Christina and Damian think they mean nothing to each other, they mean everything to me, and I’m completely and utterly invested in their happy ever after. I really hope that Ms Knight gives me it. The book, written in dual POV, always my favourite, is full of suspense, drama and mystery. 18 year old Christina, paying for the sins of her father in the worst (or is it the best) possible way. I absolutely loved this revenge filled, sexy mafia (ish), perfectly written, addictive story. The conclusion cannot come soon enough. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This was so boring. nothing really happens in this book. it just dragged on and I almost gave up so many times. I'm not going to buy the sequel. It's one of those situations in which I have absolutely no attachment to any of the characters and I don't care about where thier story leads. an entire book in and the main characters still hate each other, basically.
