The #1 Bestselling series, with over 400 five star reviews on Amazon!

NIGHT OF THE BOLD is book #6—and the final installment—in Morgan Rice’s bestselling epic fantasy series KINGS AND SORCERERS (which begins with RISE OF THE DRAGONS, a free download)!

In NIGHT OF THE BOLD, Kyra must find a way to free herself from Marda and return to Escalon with the Staff of Truth. If she does, awaiting her will be the most epic battle of her life, as she will need to face off against Ra’s armies, a nation of trolls, and a flock of dragons. If her powers, and the weapon, are strong enough, her mother awaits her, ready to reveal the secrets of her destiny, and of her birth.

Duncan must make an epic stand against Ra’s armies once and for all. Yet even as he fights the greatest battles of his life, leading to a final stand in The Devil’s Gluch, he cannot expect the dark trickery that Ra has awaiting him.

In the Bay of Death, Merk and King Tarnis’ daughter must join forces with Alec and the warriors of the Lost Isles to fight off the dragons. They must find Duncan and unite to save Escalon, yet Vesuvius has resurfaced, and they cannot anticipate the treachery awaiting them.

In the epic finale to Kings and Sorcerers, the most dramatic battles, weapons and sorcery all lead to a breathtaking, unexpected conclusion, filled with both heartbreaking tragedy and inspiring re-birth.

With its strong atmosphere and complex characters, NIGHT OF THE BOLD is a sweeping saga of knights and warriors, of kings and lords, of honor and valor, of magic, destiny, monsters and dragons. It is a story of love and broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is fantasy at its finest, inviting us into a world that will live with us forever, one that will appeal to all ages and genders.

“If you thought that there was no reason left for living after the end of the Sorcerer’s Ring series, you were wrong. Morgan Rice has come up with what promises to be another brilliant series, immersing us in a fantasy of trolls and dragons, of valor, honor, courage, magic and faith in your destiny. Morgan has managed again to produce a strong set of characters that make us cheer for them on every page.…Recommended for the permanent library of all readers that love a well-written fantasy.”

This author and the editors struggled and lost in the battle for continuity. Characters die, and reappear in another chapter, villains overcome the laws of reality to be in two places at once, and all the heroes "know that he/she faced certain death" so many times it became hilarious. Poorly written, poorly edited, and just plain hard to accept because of the failure to write in an original and entertaining manner while maintaining continuity.

I read the whole series before commenting, because I wanted to see what all of it was like ("Don't judge a book by its cover"). Anyway, I've tried to keep this review spoiler-free. Here are some things I didn't like about it: - The story was choppy. It switched storylines every single chapter, which made it hard to follow sometimes. - The editing was pretty bad. There were missing words, grammar mistakes, and so on often. - There was an overwhelming amount of continuity errors. Characters' names were mixed up. Characters died only to show up later with no explanation as to how. The map included at the beginning of each book is not at all aligned with the geography in the story (i.e. characters somehow travel many miles in minutes, when it would, in actuality, take weeks). Weapons were lost only to reappear later. Characters somehow know the names of other characters, even though they've never met. The list goes on. - The writing style was a bit flat. There were many repeated scenes or phrases, which quickly became tiresome. - Major story elements that were crucial points of the plot or backstory were suddenly abandoned, and would have made the story progress very differently. Of course, it wasn't all bad. Here are some things I liked about it: + There were strong, independent female main characters. The story does pass the Bechdel Test, which doesn't always happen in Medieval fantasy stories. + The overall setting was good. It's no Middle Earth, but creating new worlds well is difficult. + The lore behind Escalon was interesting. + Characters faced internal, as well as external, battles. This is always important in developing well-rounded characters. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the books, not for their current prices, anyway. Making books more expensive as a series goes on typically deters readers. The "Kings and Sorcerers" series had great potential, but didn't quite reach it. To be honest, a series so-named should probably contain more kings and sorcerers.

ok not many pros here, but the characters were lovable albeit very shallow. outside of the main character you really only get a general idea of who they are outside of repeated words throughout every book. main cons are just how bland the story was with a serious lack of realism. even for a high fantasy book this seriously lacks in every way as a series. and as big as this sounds as a spoiler(seriously it shouldn't) every time a male, and female come together they become love interest. wouldn't be so bad if there was depth to the story, but this is what happens. while this final book says months have passed since book one there has literally been at most a week having gone by. the writing style is easy to follow, and the characters are lovable, but because of the lazy story telling they are shallow, and feel like general outlines instead of actual people fighting a war. by time most of the readers get here I know it's too late. you aren't the only ones fooled to read it all.
