Lucas Titan is a force to be reckoned with. The man has a one-track mind with no form of conscience to go with it when it comes to business. He is ruthless, brilliant, and efficient. He is not one to dispense with niceties, and he doesn’t waste time on trying to be liked. He knows what he wants and he doesn’t mince words or actions to get it. Fate is most definite not without a wonderful sense of humor when it brings Yve Santos into his life. She is a breath-taking hurricane that overtakes Lucas in the most emotionally jarring and life-upending way possible. She turns his life inside out and thaws his icy heart. Just when he thinks he can’t take anymore, he finds that she has somehow penetrated his reinforced steel walls leaving him with more answers then questions in her wake. I absolutely LOVE this series! I have been hooked since I first read Beneath these chains. Hot alpha males, tough women, super sexy scenes and lots of steam. Meghan March knows how to turn up the heat and has hit the jackpot with this series! Even though this book is part of a series it can be read as a stand alone but I would highly recommend reading the other books in the series for the simple part of they are awesome! Lucas Titan is a drop dead sexy alpha male, his only downfall is he is also a complete jerk. He works hard for what he has and doesn't let anything, or anyone stand in his way. In his opinion, if that makes him a jerk than so be it. He isn't out to make friends and with his good looks and money, he has no problem with the ladies. Lucas had everything he needed and wanted, until Yve Santos sauntered into the picture. Lucas can't understand why Yve dislikes him so much but neither of them can deny the attraction between them. Yve Santos was a no hold bars, tell it like it is woman. After finally escaping an abusive husband Yve has no desire or use for a man, especially one with money, even if that man is the sexy as sin Lucas Titan. With her ex-husband safely behind bars, Yve is finally getting on with her life. Working as the shop manager for Dirty Dog, Yve has found her place in life doing exactly what she loves, until the day she received a phone call telling her her ex had been released from jail. When strange things start happening at Yve's apartment she takes Levi, one of her workers, up on the offer to crash at his place while he is out of town. Levi however forgot to mention that he lives with his brother in his mansion, oh and his brother is Lucas Titan! What starts off as a one time, lust filled night turns into so much more for these two. There is just something about Yve that makes Lucas want to protect her and make sure she is never hurt again. As the threat of Yve's ex-husband becomes more of a reality Lucas will stop at nothing to make sure she stays safe and the closer these two get the harder it is for Lucas to picture a life without Yve. I honestly cannot recommend this book or series enough. This has been my favorite book so far in the series and I just cannot wait for more to come. Lucas and Yve... with scars and secrets these two have a lot to hide but they're pass haunts them in more ways than one. This is thrilling exciting edge of your seat reading not since Constantine Lahey have u seen a more dominating stubborn hot man. Lucas Titan is a captain of industry and never takes no for an answer and he always gets what he wants until he meets Yve. Yve is nobody's fool and never plays the victim even when she is one, she likes being the boss just as much as Titan . LOVED IT!
