UPDATE: LISTENED TO AUDIO 7/30/18. AMAZING: DON'T MISS IT. Melanie and Green. An unlikely couple you might say if you've read the other books in the series where you meet them. Yet, they have a connection, one that they don't know about or understand. Everyone thinks Melanie is mourning the loss of Lance. While they only had one night, he died protecting her. She has a secret that keeps Green from following through with the burning attraction for her. His past of blame for the loss of his wife in childbirth has kept him from being with any woman. However, telling you her secret would be a real spoiler. You need to read to find out. Let's just say that the attraction, need to protect, secrets, and threats from the evilest of villains make it seem impossible for them to have an HEA. A team trip, with all the women, to South America gives the whole team more time, more danger, and more heat between Green and Melanie. The banter is off the chart, as usual, the passion between the couples blazes strong, and danger makes the reader fear for these characters you can't help but love. Reader, you are going to experience a whole array of emotions. These characters have captured readers for over ten years and will continue for a long time to come. Don't miss this one or any of the other books who all stand alone, although the next book is set up at the end of each book.

It is full of action, steamy scenes and a little bit of miscommunication. Melanie and Green are unlike the other couples. We saw the start of their story from the beginning of the series and now see it from their point of view. I love Green because even though he is a Genius, he is like any other male and is oblivious when it comes to women. Melanie plays the dumb blonde but is in fact an extremely intelligent woman and knows more about her powers than her friends and family know. Her life has changed forever and it is up to her and Green to make sure that she survives the battle for her life.

This is Green and Melanie's story, and what a story it is. Mandy M Roth definitely keeps you on the edge of your seat from page one. As for your emotions, well..... they are gonna be up and down. Ms Mandy M Roth has certainly gone all put with this extended edition. And I'm gonna say if your a romance sucker like me your gonna need the tissues. Not only is this book packed full with action from beginning to end, but it's also full of love, lust, secrets, Lies, humour, Betrayal, heart break, sexual encounters, fight scenes, and as always with Ms Roth's books the HEA.
