Wow! This book was a one-day read for me; I just couldn't stop reading it. This is the 3rd book in the Emily Swanson series. I very much liked the 1st and 2nd book in the series. So, my expectation was high when I started this book. And the book didn't disappoint me. This book starts a few weeks after the 2nd book and we can see many of the characters from the previous book. Except for Helen, I loved the other characters. In this book, we can see Jerome is going through some issues because of his experience in the retreat. At the same time, it was lovely to see how Emily is bouncing back from her experiences of the last year, in spite of having not come out of her issues completely . The mystery in this book was not very much unthinkable/unpredictable like the previous ones but thrilling all the same. I must say I didn't expect this climax but I liked it for what it was trying to do; it was believable too. Overall, I liked this book too and can't wait to read more exploits of Emily *Spoiler*( - now that she is training to be a PI) I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Trail Of Poison is the third book in the Emily Swanson Thrillers series. I am loving this series and will have the entire set in my TBR-again pile. The storyline is well written and gripping, keeping me on the edge of my seat throughout as Emily ropes Jerome into helping her find out what happened to Max Edwards and a number of others. The characters are well developed and realistic. There is murder, danger, suspense, intrigue, politics, and decisions to be made. I cannot wait for the next book in this fantastic series. Emily just can't help finding trouble. Still haunted by her past Emily tries to keep herself busy, volunteering at the missing person centre inputting data when a widow contacts her to find out what really happened to her husband. The more she investigates the more of a tangled web she finds herself in. A real page turner, and another excellent book in this series.
