About this ebook

In New York Times bestselling author Lynsay Sands’ captivating romance, a lass targeted by an unknown foe is saved—and seduced—by a bold Highlander

Edith Drummond owes her life to Niels Buchanan and his brothers. Waking after an illness to a castle overrun by rugged Highlanders is disconcerting, but so is learning that she’s slowly being poisoned. Niels insists on staying by her side, and Edith soon discovers that even more dangerous is her wild attraction to the fierce warrior.

Niels has never met a more courageous—or enticing—woman than Lady Edith. The idea of such a bonny lass being forced to enter a nunnery is more than any red-blooded Scotsman could bear. He’ll gladly marry her himself. But while sweeping her off her feet is easy, it’ll take all his skill to defeat her family’s relentless enemies, and convince her to surrender to his sweet embrace. . . .

I love Lynsay Sand's medieval romances-- they're usually a little silly and fun and whimsical. This one was a little darker than I expected, one scene in particular made me definitely have to take a step back. But, I loved the hero (who can resist one of those boys?) and I was definitely left wondering who dun it until almost the end! I loved it.

Book 4 of the Highland Brides is another great story. My only disappointment is the page I read to determine whether to buy this book or not listed it as having 384 pages, it has only 236. I was delighted for I am not fond of less than 300 pages. As a former educator I required my students books longer than this. Otherwise, I love Lynsay Sands.

There is something about Neils that I really like. I feel that there was one ridiculous scene that didn't need to happen in this book and didn't really work with Edith's character but I still love their relationship. As far as the men go my favorites are Ross, Neils, Cam, Greer
