Inquisitor Zenia Cham grew up with nothing, but she has distinguished herself as one of the most capable law enforcers in the city, and she’s next in line to become archmage of the temple. All she has to do is find the Eye of Truth, and her superiors are certain that Jev has it.

He tries to charm her with his twinkling eyes and easy smile, but she’s not letting any man get between her and her dreams. Especially not a thief.

If Jev can’t convince Zenia they’re on the same side, find the artifact, and clear his name, his homecoming will turn into a jail sentence. Or worse.

Ratings and reviews

Could be a decent story for some people. I had trouble conceptualizing the world the characters live in because the author spends very little actual time describing it. Most of this book is internal monologues with very abrupt PoV shifts. The plot doesn't ever really "kick in" at any point. It just kind of moves along sluggishly and predictably.

A engrossing well written book. This Author is fast becoming a favorite of mine. Partly because of the story written, partly because there is no women's softcore porn in it. The issue with women's porn, is that it rarely, if ever, leaves room for the story, which really should take the entire book to tell. If reality was like women's softcore porn is, nothing at all would get done. Women would spend all their time revelling in attention. Some would also spend time seeking Men to distract from what they are doing. Men would spend their time giving attention to Women, rather than working. Hence no progress.

A very enjoyable read and I'm only disappointed that I cannot afford to purchase any. I'm grateful to this talented author and team for being able to devour this book. I'm a huge fan
