After disappearing for over a thousand years, dragons have returned to the world. A few of them are willing to be allies to mankind, as they were millennia before, but far more want to destroy or enslave humans and claim the world for themselves. 

There are few people left with the power to fight dragons. For reasons he doesn’t understand, Trip may be one of those people. But if he chooses to learn more about his heritage and the power he can wield, he risks losing everyone he loves and everything he longs to be.

Ratings and reviews

I enjoyed it but I expected more, perhaps because I read the later Dragon Gate series first, which seem better written. I will have to compare with another series of this author, but a pattern is emerging. This book reads like a spin-off from the earlier series, Dragon Blood, with a lot of ideas and concepts reused in the Dragon Gate series. I was hoping for more originality, instead it felt like I read it before.

This series brings a much needed spot light how we can poision our childrens hearts and minds out of fear. Teach our hildren instead to be brave with acceptance and open hearts we become stronger.
