I gave this book 5 stars the first time I read it. Now that I've read it twice, I can firmly say it is the best in the Grishaverse. Epically written. It can be frustrating to constantly be switching POV, but only because I was always so invested in Zoya's story.

Great book, wrapped up the different storylines nicely although at some point I did wonder whether this would actually happen. Certain parts felt a bit rushed and I wished LB would have taken more time and effort as the characters deserved but I love Nikolai and Zoya and was not disappointed there.

I wasn't sure about the first book in the duology but clearly it was setting up for this absolute masterpiece. Knowing all the characters in the grishaverse was important to truly love love love this book.
