Ratings and reviews

The first handful of books are great but this series (20+ and counting) quickly devolves into "how many sex scenes can I fit into between each cover". I continued reading for a while in the hopes that the original premise of the series would return, but gave up around book 15. If you want a truly supernatural gritty series with fantastic worldbuilding, look elsewhere.

I had only ever read those little Harlequin romance novels you can get for like $3. A friend are work asked me to read this book and i flat out said no! I didn't like anything supernatural and had no interest in the book. At all. He wouldn't relent until i agreed to take it home and read at least the first 10 chapters. I took it home on a Friday and when we went back to work Monday i took this book back to him. He was disappointed because he thought that I didn't like it until I told him I had it read by Saturday night, could i please go ahead and borrow the next few books? There were 7 books out at the time, i read them all within 2 weeks.

Have always loved Anita Blake. After I bought the first book I read it in 1 night and went back to the book store the next day and bought the rest that were available 4 or 5 more I think. Then I bought the rest as they came out. Fun read. Action, romance, humor. A joy to read.
