Ratings and reviews

The first story in the series introduces us to the Hard Ink crew in a way that gives the background of each character in enough detail to give an understanding of how they fit together. The story is paced just right with enough action to keep it moving and nicely written erotic scenes to satisfy the need. Rixy and Becca make a good couple and I am going to enjoy reading the stories of everyone else and seeing how the plot is resolved.

Hard as it Gets is my first Laura Kaye book and it will not be my last. My rating is given because I knew before I finished reading this would go into my re-read stack. Laura draws you into the story the moment Becca approaches Nick for help finding her brother in chapter one. From there the story is full of intrigue, suspense, mystery, attraction and passion with the supporting characters adding humor, camaraderie, family and loyalty. Time to read book two.
